Search Continues for Missing Fisherman
Crews continue to search for a missing fisherman in Wayne County.
Alan Shultz, 66, went into the water in Sodus Bay Monday morning after the boat he was in capsized. Another man in the boat at the time, David Schueler, was rescued by a passing boater and was treated for hypothermia.

This is day three of the search for Alan Shultz, and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office says it is hopeful Shultz's body will be recovered sometime Wednesday.
Shultz went missing Monday when his 16-foot boat capsized on Sodus Bay. His fishing partner, David Schueler, was found about 2:30 p.m. Monday clinging to the boat.
Authorities say the water temperature Monday was 49° at the surface. Sonar and underwater cameras are being used in Wednesday’s search and police say weather conditions are favorable.
“Nice weather – with the sun being out, that’s helping our divers on the sleds. We’re finding yesterday that when the sun was out, it was okay. When the sun went behind the clouds, it was kind of tough for the divers on the sleds. Sonar scanners, it doesn’t matter, there’s no chop. Our boats are doing well today,” said Chief Deputy Bob Hetzke of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Hetzke says a surface search for Shultz will continue until his body is recovered.
