Man Sentenced for Shooting at Police Cars
A Schuyler County man convicted of shooting at unmarked Sheriff's cars will spend the next 10 years in prison.
Joseph Esposito, 29, was found guilty of first degree reckless endangerment, menacing a police officer, as well as a drug charge.
The convictions stem from an incident back in October of 2011, when authorities say Esposito shot at numerous moving vehicles in the Finger Lakes area and threatened officers with a rifle.
During sentencing, the judge said Esposito failed to complete a drug rehab program and that he was a danger to his community.
Once released, he will be under supervision for another three years.
