Two people in Orleans County injured by family dog
RIDGEWAY, N.Y. — Two people were injured when they were attacked by their family dog.
According to the Orleans County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Brian Adams and 38-year-old Kristi Adams were fighting in their Ridgeway home just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when their pit bull terrier attacked them.
Brian was bitten in the arm and face, and was taken to ECMC where he was treated and released.
Kristi Adams was bitten on her arm, but refused treatment.
The dog was taken to Orleans County Animal Shelter, and while it was licensed, it did not have a current rabies vaccination.
The incident remains under investigation.
