Search of Niagara river and gorge for missing Houghton student
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The search of the Niagara river and gorge for a missing Houghton College student continued Monday.
According to Niagara Parks Police, the search 21-year-old Gregory Young of North Carolina began on Saturday night.
The gorge rescue team and the Erie County Sheriff's Office's Air One helicopter continued to look for him Monday afternoon.
College officials say they believe Young entered the Niagara River and is presumed dead.
Counselors have been made available for Houghton College students, faculty and staff.
