A 19-story building in the town of Irondequoit was demolished this morning.

YNN provided live coverage of the implosion of the Heritage Tower on Portland Avenue. 160 pounds of explosives took down more than 200-feet of concrete, according to the sub-contractor responsible for the implosion.

It marks what St. Ann's community calls the final stages of its ongoing, two-year construction project. St. Ann's made the decision to take down the tower due to the building's age and limited space on each floor among other things.

We'll continue to show the implosion throughout the day right here on YNN.
