The company is not saying how many of those jobs are in the Monroe County, but a spokesman does say the majority of the jobs will be in the services side of the business. In Rochester, more of the business is centered around manufacturing.

Currently, Xerox employs just under 6,000 workers in its Rochester region facilities.

Xerox expects a restructuring charge of $100 million in the fourth quarter.

Officials made the announcement Tuesday at an investor conference in New York City.
