A magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. It is the strongest earthquake to hit the Caribbean nation in more than 200 years. The International Federation of the Red Cross said up to 3 million people have been affected by the quake.
