Bills practice on new turf
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Thursday was a chance for the Buffalo Bills to check out the new turf.
Head coach Chan Gailey had the team practice on the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium. It was an opportunity for the squad to get a feel for the new A-Turf surface before the team plays its first game on it Saturday against Jacksonville.
“I think it’s important to come out here and get a feel for it. It’s different. I think it was good to get them out here and at least the first time they see it they won’t be looking around. They can go through their normal pre-game,” said Gailey.
