ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Going blow for blow with what many saw as the NFL's top passing offense in the Patriots, the Buffalo Bills continue to show they're for real when it comes to moving the ball.
While players like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson will naturally get most of the press, a lot of the team’s early success has been thanks in part to an offensive line that has kept Fitzpatrick off his back through the first three games
“There is so much that goes into it for those guys. All five of them have to be on the same page, working together, and I think that is the biggest thing is that they're doing a great job together, whether its two guys passing something off or the tackle knowing that he's got some help inside, they've done a good job,” said Fitzpatrick.
“Guys have done good things. Our tackles have been great. For as criticized as they were during the preseason, to respond like that and play so well when we come out in five wide sets,” said center Eric Wood. “You know, inside we are helping each other out a lot of times and we'll slide guard out to help the tackles, and Freddie chops and what not, but guys are left out on an island with some pretty good talent these first few weeks, and they've done a good job.”
“They've done a great job and again this week, you know, we come out of the game and I think we've given up one all year, one sack, and I can't say enough about those guys. They’re just putting in so much during the week, just working together,” said Fitzpatrick.
