Familiar face on Giants' staff
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — When the Buffalo Bills take on the Giants, there will be a familiar face on the other sideline.
Perry Fewell was interim head coach after the team fired Dick Jauron back in 2009. He made the decision to start Ryan Fitzpatrick over Trent Edwards at quarterback, which turned out to be a pretty smart move.
Fewell landed in New York as the Giants defensive coordinator after the Bills elected to hire Chan Gailey as head coach in 2010
“Really a lot has happened since then and there’s been a lot of turnover just in terms of the guys that are now in our locker room, and that’s just the nature of the NFL,” said Fitzpatrick. “I know the guys are excited to see him. I’m excited to see him. He’s a guy that was in my corner and gave me some opportunities and I’ll always respect him for that.”
