Bills working to avoid post-bye week letdown
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Coming out of the gates at 3-0, including two very impressive comeback wins at home, the Buffalo Bills stumbled into the bye week with a loss at the Giants.
It’s a good chance to build on their 4-2 record this week when they host the Redskins in Toronto. But the bye week hasn't worked out too well this season, with teams going 3-9 following their break. Focus is key as the team returns to work
“Work like we did to get to 4-2. You know we can't come back and relax by any means. We have enough tough games ahead of us we have to be focused on those and take them one at a time and stay focused and continue to work,” said Fred Jackson, running back.
“If you are having a winning season, you really don't want no weeks off, you know what I'm saying? No matter how you body feels, you're winning, you're rolling, and that what we want to do,” said wide receiver Stevie Johnson. “We want to play ball, but we have to have a bye in the NFL, so it was a good time to have off. We wanted it to be the other way as far as having a win but we came off a loss and now we are eager to get back on the field to show what we can do.”
