Musnicki Wins Gold in Team Rowing
In the women's eight rowing, Naples native Meghan Musnicki and her United States teammates beat Canada and the Netherlands to win the Olympic gold medal.
This was Musnicki's first Olympics.
Pittsford native Henrik Rummel and his men's four team won their semifinal heat and advanced to Saturday's "A" final. They enter with the third fastest time.
And in the pool, the U.S. swim team earned three more gold medals but none of them by Canandaigua native Ryan Lochte. Tyler Cleary won the 200 backstroke with Lochte claiming the bronze and Michael Phelps won the last matchup between the two swimmers with Lochte taking Silver in the 200 IM.
