The Rochester Americans signed defenseman Corey Fienhage to an American Hockey League contract.
The 22 year old split time last season between Rochester and Gwinnett of the East Coast Hockey League. He appeared in 20 games with the Amerks recording four assists and 20 penalty minutes. Fienhage was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Rochester will open the regular season on Friday, October 12 against the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena.
