Thoughts on red zone woes

Thoughts on red zone woes
There's a long list of things that we could have expected to stand between the Bills and a win in Houston. But as we prepare for another work week in Western New York, many of us will be talking about their struggles in the red zone.

"The story for us was just our inability to score touchdowns," said Ryan Fitzpatrick. "Something this team, over the last few years, has been good at is converting those drives into seven points, not three. To me, that's where our issue was."

That certainly was the issue. The Bills had three trips to the red zone, and in all settled for field goal attempts four times. The Bills put some real good drives together, creating the plays that usually set up touchdowns. Those plays, without finish, are obviously all for not.

"When we have a big play on a drive, you've got to go and get in the end zone," said tackle Chris Hairston. "They were able to do that. We were not. That's really the story of the game."

"We've got to find other ways to get extra yards, other ways to get opportunities to score," added left tackle Cordy Glenn. "That's what we want to do this week, and come out next week and be ready to play."
