Cornell's Bardreau to Miss Rest of Season
After being checked from behind in a game last Saturday, Cornell hockey forward and Fairport native Cole Bardreau will miss the rest of the season. That's according to Big Red coach Mike Schafer.
Bardreau finished the game against RPI but after an MRI on Monday, a neck fracture was discovered, ending his season.
The Cornell sophomore was playing his second game since returning for the World Junior Championships where he helped the United States to a Gold Medal win.
"We talked today about how tough that kid is. He came back full of energy. He hustles. He hits and he's tough on pucks and we need guys to pick up and carry that MO on our team," Schafer said.
