Sabres beat the snow, ready to face Islanders
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Despite the weather canceling flights across the Northeast, the Buffalo Sabres are still scheduled to play the New York Islanders Saturday night on Long Island.
A team spokesperson confirmed that the Sabres had to switch flights and airports to arrive in New York earlier than originally planned because of the storm.
They're also practicing at Nassau Coliseum instead of the First Niagara Center as a result of the switched flight.
Game time is at 7 p.m. Saturday.
