Niagara Defeats RIT in Overtime to Head to Semifinals

LEWISTON, N.Y. - Marc Zanette scored the game-winner in overtime to send Niagara into the Atlantic Hockey semifinals with a 2-1 win over RIT. The Purple Eagles won the best-of-three quarterfinal series two games to none after a pair of one-goal victories.
Patrick Divjak also scored for Niagara, tying the game in the second period. Josh Mitchell gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead just 1:12 into the game.
The Purple Eagles tied the program record of a 22-game home ice unbeaten streak with the win. The Atlantic Hockey semifinals begin next weekend in Rochester's Blue Cross Arena.
