Fireworks, dancing, music, hot drinks at a cool ice bar! Some of what you can expect during the final weekend of the Quebec Winter Carnaval in Quebec City, Canada. The last day of events is Sunday, February 17th.

If you go, bring very warm clothes including leather, Gortex or ski gloves. Not cloth gloves, like I did! Most events happen at the Plaines of Abraham so nearby hotels mean you can walk to the park fairly easily. Choose from the Marriott Courtyard, Hilton-Quebec, Lowes or Delta. The street Rue St. Jean is only a block away from the Hilton and offers many choices for neighborhood restaurants and pastry shops.

Travel Tip: Even if the Winter Carnaval is over, you can still visit a nearby annual attraction, The Ice Hotel!
