Fire crews responded to a fire in Wayne County late Saturday night.

They responded to the report of a fire on Laurel Court in Gananda, where they discovered flames shooting from the garage, some 50 feet in the air.

The family first noticed the fire after the power went out in the house.

Fire investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.

Firefighters said two cats died in the fire.
