Counselors Available After Victor Rape Accusations

Counselors Available After Victor Rape Accusations
Counselors were made available for students Monday in the Victor Central School District after a 12-year-old Victor boy was accused of rape and sexual abuse.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office investigation found three victims, all under the age of 11. The boy was arraigned in Ontario County family court last week where he faces several charges.

In a message to parents last week, Victor Central School Superintendent Dawn Santiago Marullo said, "The information we have from the sheriff's department indicates that these alleged crimes did not occur on the Victor Central School campus. Rest assured that the safety and well being of our students is a priority."

"Because this is a sheriff's department investigation, I have asked our staff not to discuss this matter,” said Marullo, in a second statement. “As always, our counseling staff is available to meet with any student who may need additional support as a result of this situation."
