Chalk this up as one of those "more than unusual" weddings. The owner of Head Man's Cycle Shop in Charlotte and his longtime girlfriend made it official, and they got a little help from a number of Harley riders Saturday afternoon.

More than 35 custom Harley Davidson motorcycles from all over the country converged on Durand Beach to watch two friends, Joe “Head Man” Paris and Rikki Koslop, get married.

"It's going to be the best day of my life,” said the groom. "We get along great. We're soul mates and I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

"It's our new beginning together,” added the bride. “We don't live together, so this is a new beginning."

The couple decided to have the ceremony along the beach where Paris grew up, opting for a ceremony unlike one many dream about as little kids.

"That's what we wanted,” said Koslop.

"Because we are nontraditional people," added Paris.

As the bride and groom got ready to depart, the rest of the bikes fired up, getting ready to follow the new bride and groom.

"I'm just very happy, very happy this happened,” said Koslop. “All this waiting and waiting for the time."

The couple says they wouldn't have wanted to have a wedding any other way. The biggest worry was the weather, which in their words was nearly perfect during the ceremony.
