Rochester Police said the stabbing occurred at the corner of West Avenue and Hobart Street.

There they found a 30-year-old city resident with multiple stab wounds to the torso. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

The investigation led police to a home on West Avenue where a 21-year-old man was arrested.

Police say the incident occurred between the two men as a result of an argument.

The two men claim to be cousins.
