A man from Honeoye Falls faces charges in Livingston County. Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office say he left the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident Sunday morning.
Michael Manley, 27, is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, aggravated unlicensed operation, and unlicensed operation.
Deputies say Manley hit 51-year old William Ehrmentraut of Lima with his GMC Suburban.
Family members say Ehrmentraut did not have a car and would always ride his bike, or walk when it was cold outside.
Ehrmentraut's body was found in a ditch along Route 15-A around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies say Manley called Monroe County 911 Sunday afternoon to report he had hit a deer.
Manley was arraigned and sent to the Livingston County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Deputies are asking anyone with information about the accident to come forward.
