The Roc City Thunder is coming to town.
The Thunder is a professional indoor football team and will be a member of the American Indoor Football League.
Team owners Jeff and Penny Teed already operate the Finger Lakes Impact amateur football team.
"Being in the amateur football arena, so to speak, we see a lot of guys who used to play arena ball. And for one reason or another, they're out of arena ball and I think a lot of it has to do with locality. There's nothing up here," Penny said.
Team tryouts begin in November.
The Thunder's inaugural season kicks off in March of 2013.
