The festival hosted a number of sports including pickleball, bench press competitions, wrestling and beach volleyball. The winners of the volleyball tournament receive prizes like t-shirts, shorts and backpacks.

But participants say it's about much more than winning.

"It's just the experience of having a bunch of people come down. It's kid friendly, people from all over from Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany come and play together," said Lauren Costello of NOVA. "It's people who play pro, people who play in college, people who are just amateurs that come down just to have fun."

Also happening at the beach Sunday was The Red Bull 5 Spot, a five-on-five soccer tournament featuring twelve teams.
