A crop duster aircraft crashed into trees in the Genesee County town of Alexander, and the pilot walked away with hardly a scratch.

The single-engine plane went down near the intersection of Brookville and Cook Roads just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, the pilot, 48-year old Louis Christie, was spraying a field and had to take evasive action to avoid power lines.

He told deputies he attempted to fly under the lines. The aircraft struck a hill and skipped off, crashing into a group of trees.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
