Credit Cards Allowed Again Soon Following Data Breach
Brockport College officials say students should be able to use credit cards on campus when classes begin next week. If it is not in time for classes, they say it should be shortly after that.
The college stopped allowing students to use credit cards on campus last semester after a data breach at the college. A number of student accounts were hacked and some of them lost money.
Over the summer, the college spent about $20,000 to install a new credit card processing system.
Students will be contacted once they are permitted to use their cards on campus again.
