NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Two teens are charged in connection with the death of a five-year-old Niagara Falls girl.
Isabella Sarah Tennant was found dead inside a dumpster after she was reported missing Monday morning.
Police charged 16-year-old John Freeman with second degree murder. Sixteen-year-old Tyler Best is charged with tampering with evidence.
Police say Isabella was at her great grandmother's house Sunday night, playing with Freeman, a family friend. She was reported missing just after 6 p.m., when her mother came to pick her up.
Police said around 9 o'clock, Best went to the police station and told detectives he had information about Isabella. Officers say that information led them to her body, inside a plastic garbage bag in a dumpster.
Police believe Freeman killed Isabella with his bare hands and then he and Best placed her body in the trash bin.
Both teens will be arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court Tuesday morning.

"Patrol received a call around 6:20 this morning to a house in the 400 block of Sixth Street and the lady there wanted to report that her great-granddaughter was missing," Niagara Falls Police Captain William Thomson said.
The body of that girl, five-year-old Isabella Sarah Tennant, was found just blocks away in an alley around 10 a.m. Monday morning.
"She was in a trash can, underneath some bags of trash in a garbage bag in the rear of 531 Third Street and she's apparently the victim of a homicide," Thomson said.
At a press conference at police headquarters Monday afternoon, Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster offered his condolences to Isabella’s family.
"Our hearts go out to the family, I can't imagine what it is that they're going through at this time," he said.
Police said Isabella was spending the night at her great-grandmother's home and was last seen on the computer in the living room around 10:30 p.m. Sunday with a male neighbor. They say that neighbor and another 16-year-old male are being held in connection with her death.
"We have two parties in custody at this time. They're being interviewed," Thomson said.
A search for the girl took detectives from Sixth Street to a site on Buffalo Avenue, before Thomson said the second teen tipped police off to Isabella's whereabouts.
"There were signs that there was some trauma but there is no indication that there were weapons used," he said.
He said the second teen assisted the neighbor after Isabella's death, which they believe occurred in her great-grandmother's home, adding that neither have any prior criminal record and will be charged as adults.
"It's a terrible crime and it tears at your heart. I have grandchildren the same age as this victim and it's a horrible thing," he said.
Thomson said both suspects will be arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court Tuesday morning.
An autopsy will be performed by the Erie County Medical Examiner, as well.
