Salvation Army Kicks Off Red Kettle Campaign

Salvation Army Kicks Off Red Kettle Campaign
The Salvation Army is kicking off its annual Red Kettle Campaign this week.

This year, the Salvation Army hopes to raise $560,000 and recruit 10,000 volunteers.

Donations made to the campaign go to help provide meals, toys and other necessities to people in need in Monroe County throughout the holiday season.

This year's campaign chairs are the Dixon Schwabl family. Rochester's Red Kettle Campaign started in 1900.

The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester helps more than 50,000 Rochesterians every year.

For information on how to sign up to volunteer you can contact the Salvation Army.
