A man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Wayne County Sunday evening.

55-year-old Bruce A. Patnaude of Lyons is dead after his motorcycle went off the road at about 5:30.

Sheriffs deputies tell us he was traveling northbound on Maple Street Road when he drove off the west side of the roadway going around a sharp curve.

Patnaude was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
