A Webster family will always remember Thanksgiving 2012! The couple received a wake-up call during the overnight hours, one that sent them racing to a local hospital for an early - but special – delivery. YNN's Mary McCombs shares their story.

"About three o'clock, my water broke. We called and we let them know and they told us to come on in," said Dolores Bennett.

Jeremy and Dolores Bennett, along with their four-year-old daughter, were on their way to Highland Hospital. But they had to change plans, stopping near the Blossom Road exit on Route 590.

"I pulled over on the side of the road and called 911, and they walked me through delivery and I delivered my son on the side of the road," said Jeremy Bennett.

Matthew Zaine Bennett entered the world at 3:40 a.m. - three weeks early!

Because of the location on 590, both the Rochester and Brighton Fire departments were called in. But by the time the first responders got there, the laboring had been done and the baby was born.

"We wanted to make sure the scene was safe, and assisting the ambulance with packaging the baby and mom and making sure Dad's okay and he could get to the hospital, so we had an exciting morning, but a good morning, a good way to start off Thanksgiving," said Stephen MacAdam, Brighton Fire Chief.

The family is thankful for help from the first responders and for the arrival of their new son.

The Bennett family will have a Thanksgiving to remember as they share stories and raise their son.

"The boy is going to have a hard time deciding what he's gonna be, a police officer, a fireman or an EMT when he grows up," said Chief MacAdam.
