A local church opened its doors to the community for Thanksgiving.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Rochester held a community dinner for anyone looking for fellowship.
It was the church's fourth annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner. Organizer Kathy Hennelly said their mission was to fill people up with food and, most importantly, some holiday cheer.
The menu included six turkeys and lots of homemade sides and dessert, all made by members of the congregation.
"We want this to be a day of fellowship where people can come together enjoy a good meal, good homemade food and just be with people. We don't want anyone to be alone on the holidays," said Hennelly.
Volunteers also collected non-perishable food items at the event to be donated to the East Rochester Resource Center.
