Syracuse Man Pleads Guilty to Bank Robberies Including Three in Gates
A Syracuse man has pleaded guilty to committing five bank robberies between June and August of this year.

Brandon Rothenburgh, 34, pleaded guilty to three robberies in Gates at the First Niagara Bank and Citizens Bank, and two others in Rome and Auburn.

Rothenburgh was arrested in September with his accomplice, James Nicholson. Charges against Nicholson are still pending.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Rothenburgh agreed to repay the amount taken from the banks and to forfeit a Cadillac which he purchased with the robbery proceeds.
