Report: Bid Is In for Kodak Patents
The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Eastman Kodak has received an offer of more than half a billion dollars for its portfolio of digital patents.
The Journal says, however, that the deal for the patents has not yet been reached.
The offer came from what the Journal called an unidentified "consortium of bidders," including Silicon Valley tech companies and firms.
Selling those patents for $500 million was a condition of a recent financing offer that Kodak accepted worth about $830 million to help the company emerge from bankruptcy.
