On Tuesday, family and friends held a candlelight vigil in Crane's honor. He was beloved by his friends, who say his kindness and helpfulness made people happy.

"He was a really funny kid. He would try to make everybody laugh, he would try to make you smile. He was just there for anybody who needed him, even if you didn't know him."

The other driver in the crash, 49-year-old Carmen Vega, remains at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
