Former Employee Accused of Having Sex With Hillside Teen Accepts Plea Deal
The former employee at the Hillside Children's Center accused of having sexual contact with a teen there has accepted a plea deal.
Matthew King, 29, pleaded guilty on Thursday at Monroe County Court.
He faces six months in Monroe County Jail, 10 years of sex offender probation, and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Police say the abuse happened while King was working as a youth care professional at Hillside. King was with Hillside for a year and a half, where they say he underwent an extensive background check.
Hillside says King was immediately suspended when the allegations surfaced, and was fired in late July.
