Sheriffs deputies say Kelsey Milks, 19, of Corfu died when the car she was riding in was hit head on by a passing mini-van in the town of Shelby.

Police say the van went off Route 77 and the car stayed on the road where it was then hit a second time by another car.

Mercy Flight airlifted Milks and the driver of the car she was in, Dana Cipra, 20, to Erie County Medical Center.

Cipra is still in the hospital.

The people in the two other vehicles were not seriously injured.

Investigators are still working to figure out the cause of the crash.
