Families Displaced Due to Fire
Eight families were displaced just days before Christmas because of a fire Saturday morning in Wayne County.
This happened on West Street in Macedon shortly after 6 a.m. Sheriff's deputies say a passing snow plow driver spotted the fire at the multi-family house.
He and a village employee helped alert the people inside to the fire. Four of the eight apartments were damaged, but there were no injuries.
The American Red Cross says it is assisting four people with food and clothing.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
