Hospital Limits Visitors As Response to Spike in Flu Cases
A local hospital is limiting the number of visitors patients there can have. The University of Rochester Medical Center says the move is in response to a spike in flu cases in our area.

URMC is limiting the number of visitors to two caregivers per patient at the Golisano Children's Hospital. People with flu-like symptoms are being asked NOT to visit hospital patients.

Eight people in Monroe County have now died as a result of the flu virus. About 13,050 cases of the virus have been reported in the county so far this year. A vast majority of the cases are in people age 65-and-older.

Health officials in Monroe County and throughout the state are urging people to get their flu shot.
