Boot Drive Raises Thousands for West Webster Firefighters
Another Fill the Boot Drive was held to benefit the families of the firefighters killed and injured in the Christmas Eve shooting in West Webster.
The Brighton Fire Department held the drive at 12 Corners in Brighton Saturday. Fire officials tell us they raised at least $27,000 with more counting to go. All proceeds will go directly to the funds established by the West Webster Fire Department.
Another benefit for the West Webster memorial fund will be held in Charlotte later Saturday night. Runaway World Band and Knight Patrol Band will play at Nola's Barbecue.
There will also be 50/50 raffles, guitar raffles and other raffles. The event starts at 8:30 p.m.
