Wayne County Man Faces Additional Charges in Alleged Crime Spree
A Wayne County man is facing additional charges after police say he stole a car from a woman in a Pizza Hut parking lot.

Police in Newark say 31-year-old Seth Brown tried to force a woman in the parking lot to drive him to Fairport. The woman refused, and Brown tried to drag her into the car, but she fought back.

Police tell us Brown took her keys and drove away with her car.

Police found the car stuck along the road in Port Gibson in Ontario County a short time later, then hitchhiked, and ordered another driver to take him to an ATM. Police pulled that car over near Palmyra and took Brown into custody.

Brown is charged with robbery and grand larceny for the alleged carjacking. Brown is also charged with attempted robbery in the third degree, which is a class E felony.

He is in the Wayne County Sheriff's Jail without bail.
