Softball players braved the cold Saturday, having "Snow Much Fun" in an outdoor tournament. The fundraising competition was sponsored by the Penn-Web Rotary Club.

Eight teams got together at the fields on Ridge Road in Webster to play against one another, and raise money for literacy programs.

Globally, Rotary clubs have more than a million members, and the money raised in the tournament will help literacy programs in Rochester and beyond.

"There's different Rotary clubs throughout the world, so sometimes we can team up with clubs in Africa for example, we can team up with clubs in Europe to do different events and different things to support the needs in that area," said Derek Meixell, Rotary Club Softball tournament organizer.

This is the third year for the softball tournament. The club expected to raise about $3,000.
