Nearly a Quarter Ton of Marijuana Seized in Orleans County
A Rochester man and a Bronx man face drug charges after State Police say they were found with 450 pounds of marijuana.
According to the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, 29-year-old Roderick Johnson and 37-year-old Calvin Bennett of the Bronx are charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the first degree.
Authorities said the two men were found in Clarendon on Thursday with a container of office furniture and nine cardboard boxes, which allegedly each contained about 50 pounds of marijuana.
Both men are in jail on $200,000 bail.
