Just three days after the Al Sigl Community of Agencies kicked off its Just One campaign, thousands of donations have already poured in.

Just One is a direct mail campaign that asks the community to support the Al Sigl programs by donating just one dollar.

Thursday, volunteers went through all the responses they have gotten.

Organizers and volunteers say they are blown away by how quickly the community responds to the campaign. They also say they enjoy the notes that people include with their donations.

"We get notes, we just get so much love that comes in. And of course this group here is a wonderful group to work with. You meet new people," said Elsie Glendenning, volunteer.

"We couldn't do this without the volunteers. We're an organization that's supported very heavily by volunteer activity. This is one of those times where you see people face to face and they're lending a hand and giving us something that we frankly couldn't do without them," said Tom O'Connor, Al Sigl Community of Agencies.

This is the 23rd year for the campaign. All of the money raised goes to help Al Sigl continue to offer programs for children and adults with disabilities and special needs.
